AbstraktOne of the targets of educational policies of the European Commission consists in increasing both the physical and virtual mobility of education staff all over Europe, and to decrease obstacles towards mobility.In this study, analysis has been made on the numbers of physically mobile education staff as well as on their virtual mobility. Available data have been analysed in all 15 European member states. In addition, key persons have been interviewed in all member states and SWOT analyses on the current situation of mobility have been performed. Scenarios on how to increase mobility have been developed and communicative validation procedures have been adopted.

ErgebnisseThe percentage of physically mobile education staff is rather poor in all European Union member states (between 0.2 % and 4.0 %). While actions of the European Union seem to have some impact on the virtual mobility of education staff, nationally produced obstacles towards physical mobility have not been reduced yet (following the guidelines of the Nice process).
