Abstrakt

ELLAN is a consortium of 28 partners in 26 European countries. This consortium has come together in an application to the European Lifelong learning programme (LLP -project ERASMUS Academic Networks) related to the care of older people for funding to conduct analyses of competencies required of personnel working with older people from literature, research, professionals, students and older people themselves. The main output of the project is a European Competencies Framework for working with the older people in health care and social care. This Framework will improve the quality of education of professionals working with older people. The impact of ELLAN consists of better education, and consequently an enhanced work motivation, mobility of personnel and improved elderly care in Europe.
